Burn Day Information

                         Call the Placer County Air Pollution Burn Day Information System at (530) 889-6868 to determine if it is a burn day in your area

    If it is a burn day, the only allowable materials are:

o       Dry leaves

o       Dry tree trimmings

o       Dry pine needles

o       NO GRASS TRIMMINGS, DIMENSIONAL LUMBER, OR OTHER CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, CARDBOARD OLD FURNITURE, ETC.

Permissable burn materials are listed on your Burn Permit.

           As of January, 2004, burn barrels are no longer permitted.

      Burn permits can be obtained at any Placer Hills Fire Protection District Station during normal business hours or below.

Click here to download a PDF format printable burn permit. Fill the permit out and keep it near while burning. You MUST have a burn permit in order to burn. There are legal consequences if you burn without a current, valid burn permit.
